Personalized physical therapy in Twinsburg, Ohio for active adults who are ready to move better and return to the workouts they love.

Meet Dr. Alina

Dr. Alina has always wanted to do physical therapy “better”. She is proud to own Gait Keeper Physical Therapy in Twinsburg Ohio where she only treats one patient at a time, and provides the highest quality care. She has previously been a part of “generic” physical therapy clinics, and knows her patients deserve higher quality of care. Dr. Alina is motivated to provide individualized, high quality, and personable care for those who want to get back to activities they love without pain. She is skilled in manual therapy, dry needling, and exercise progression and performance training. Dr. Alina loves working with athletes and active adults of all ages. You can see triathletes, cross-fitters, functional fitness athletes and youth athletes in her office weekly.

Unique Interests and background:

Dr. Alina got her interest in physical therapy through a few avenues. She began taking exercise science course in high school which sparked her interest, and she was sold on physical therapy as a career. She additionally grew up playing soccer, where she unfortunately watched multiple friends go through physical therapy rehabilitation. Dr. Alina graduated from Hiram College with her bachelor of arts in integrative exercise science, and from University of Mount Union with her doctorate in Physical Therapy. Alina loves to work with active adults and athletes alike. Her top goal is to keep people doing what they love, pain free!

Outside of the clinic:

When not at work, you can find Dr. Alina hanging out with her family. She loves taking long walks with her son, and her dogs. When able, Alina enjoys spending time at her local functional fitness gym, running, playing soccer or golfing. A good nap and a cup of coffee are always on the to-do list during the week if possible!

Meet Trever:

Trever Wendel, MSAT, LAT, ATC is a certified athletic trainer who brings a strong background in collegiate athletics and a passion for helping people stay active to Gait Keeper Physical Therapy. Trever earned his undergraduate degree in Integrative Exercise Science from Hiram College before completing his Master of Science in Athletic Training at Kent State University. He has also returned to Hiram College professionally, where he works as an athletic trainer.

Unique Interests and Background:

Trever developed his clinical experience working closely with collegiate athletes, including evaluating injuries, providing hands-on treatment, and helping athletes progress through rehabilitation and return to sport. His athletic training background has given him a strong understanding of what it takes to get an athlete back to performing at their best. While he enjoys working with athletes, Trever also loves working with active adults and helping people of all ages move better, get stronger, and continue doing the activities they enjoy.

Trever is also certified in dry needling and enjoys combining hands-on treatment with individualized exercise and movement-based care. His goal is to help each patient understand their injury, feel confident in their recovery, and get back to the things that are important to them.

Outside of the Clinic:

When he's not working, Trever enjoys spending time with his family, getting out on the golf course, and playing video games. He also enjoys staying active himself and understands firsthand how important movement and physical activity can be. Whether he's working with a college athlete or an active adult, Trever brings the same goal to his care: helping people feel better, move better, and get back to doing what they love.
